Final Design A: Blocks On Blocks
This design was lightly inspired by the works of Piet Mondrian. It is very simplistic, eye catching, and highly modifiable.
Though I did use AI to generate a concept piece for me to follow and get a start on color and composition, this idea has been in my head for quite some time, the early AI concept just help me speed up my iteration process and avoid procrastination due to the daunting blank canvas.
Though the concepting phase was rather short because I already had a good direction, it did push me to an yet to be explored tree concept that could be derived from this style. As well, I had some time and just explored AI capabilities with random ideas that popped in my head, I'll share some of those results below.
This design is my preferred, however, I believe I like the dark blue or Salmon Red color variations (See color variations below) a bit better over the yellow, if we had to choose just one. I'm just showing this one as it has my final camera perspective, letter materials, and lighting, as well as has the worked in Icons I modeled.
Also, to extrude the SpAIR Jordans' Jumpman logo into 3d I needed clean vector art; so, I redrew it quickly, see below in the "Band Icons" section for a screen shot of that redraw. I made some slight variations and can provide that vector art if at all helpful.
I've modeled this entire design from scratch in Blender So I have full control over everything, shape sizes, compositional placement, colors, materials, lighting, and camera. A huge benefit to this design is that it can also be animated extremely easily.
Imagine: Scene starts with just the color and little icons laying on floor, camera slow panning and rotating around scene slightly while pedestals shoot up through floor and send the icons and band letters flying into the air, flipping, landing in their final locations, camera settles into place, Icons settling into place last. Then the event details push up through floor. Finally the colors begin to change, either rapidly like the flip of a switch, or gradually. Then can reverse out the intro animation and make the whole thing loopable.
Preview animations will be made available in the coming days.
